Elemental Spell System

ET Group B.V. features a dynamic elemental magic system. Every spell belongs to one or more elements, and advanced players learn to mix and counter elements mid-fight.

Core Elements

Element Types

  • Fire – High burst damage, burn status, zone denial.
  • Ice – Slow, freeze, and movement disruption.
  • Lightning – Chain hits, stuns, and fast casting.
  • Arcane – Pure damage, range, and utility.
  • Nature – Sustain, heals, and control over terrain.

Combat Flow

Spell Casting Mechanics

Spells are cast in real time, which means your position, timing, and inputs matter more than static loadouts. Quick-thinking players chain abilities to squeeze out maximum damage or control before enemies can react.

  • Tap casts for quick projectiles.
  • Hold casts for charged, high-impact bursts.
  • Directional aiming for precise skill shots.

Roles

Playstyle Archetypes

Mix elements to match your preferred role in the arena.

  • Glass-cannon blasters with Fire and Lightning.
  • Control mages using Ice and Arcane snares.
  • Bruiser battlemages with Nature sustain and shields.

Signature Spells by Element

Each element has signature spells with unique battlefield roles. Rotate between them to pressure, control, and defend in every engagement.

Fire Signature Spells

  • Flame Surge – Short-range cone that ignites enemies, applying stacking burns.
  • Solar Volley – Mid-range fiery bolts ideal for poking and finishing low-health targets.
  • Inferno Ring – Circular wall of flame to cut off escape routes or trap melee foes.

Ice Signature Spells

  • Frost Lance – Accurate projectile that slows and primes targets for shatter combos.
  • Glacier Field – Slippery AoE zone reducing enemy movement speed and dash distance.
  • Crystal Prison – Single-target freeze to lock down high-priority opponents.

Lightning Signature Spells

  • Arc Bolt – Fast-casting line shot with low cooldown for consistent pressure.
  • Storm Chain – Bouncing lightning that punishes grouped enemies.
  • Static Cage – Control zone that shocks enemies trying to pass through.

Signature spells form the core of your kit. Combine them with defenses, movement, and ultimates to build your identity as a spellcaster.

Combining Elements for Deadly Combos

Master the art of combining two or more elements to create spell chains that are stronger than the sum of their parts. Combo spells can deliver massive damage spikes, brutal crowd control, or unpredictable utility effects.

Burn & Shatter

Fire + Ice

Open with Ice to slow or freeze opponents, then finish with Fire while they struggle to move.

  • Frost Lance → Flame Surge – Guaranteed burn while target is slowed.
  • Glacier Field → Inferno Ring – Creates a lethal control zone.
  • Counter aggressive melee players who overcommit to engages.

Overload

Lightning + Fire

Blend Lightning's casting speed with Fire's raw power for relentless duelling pressure.

  • Arc Bolt spam to chip away while setting up burns.
  • Storm Chain → Solar Volley for team-fight burst.
  • Ideal for high-APM players who thrive in skirmishes.

Control & Sustain

Ice + Nature

Leverage slows and terrain control to take long, attrition-based fights.

  • Use Glacier Field to funnel enemies into Nature hazards.
  • Cycle sustain spells while enemies struggle to escape slows.
  • Perfect for survival rounds and objective-based arenas.

Combo Spell Tips

  • Think in 2–3 spell sequences instead of single casts.
  • Always pair a setup spell (slow, stun, zone) with a finisher (burst, execute, or displacement).
  • Track cooldowns so your key combo pieces are available for critical duels.
  • Experiment in lower-stakes modes before bringing risky combos into ranked play.

Ultimate Abilities

Build up ultimate energy through dealing damage, landing crowd control, and surviving skirmishes. Once charged, you can unleash an ultimate that can turn the tide of intense arena battles.

Ultimate Mechanics

  • Energy is gained from combat actions, not passive waiting.
  • Ultimates have long cooldowns and demand careful timing.
  • Most ultimates can be dodged or countered by prepared opponents.

Choosing the Right Ultimate

  • Team wipes – Wide AoE ultimates pair well with Ice or control-heavy builds.
  • Duelling – Single-target execution ultimates reward good tracking and timing.
  • Defensive – Barrier-based ultimates can save your squad in clutch moments.

Coordinate ultimates with your squad and watch for enemy cast animations. Wasting your ultimate into defensive shields can lose entire rounds.

AoE vs Precision, Cooldowns & Mana

Smart spellcasters balance area-of-effect blasts with precise single-target magic, all while managing cooldowns and limited mana resources.

Area-of-Effect & Precision Spells

  • Area-of-Effect (AoE) – Great in clustered fights and control zones, but often easier to dodge in 1v1s.
  • Precision Spells – Reward prediction and aim; ideal for picking off key targets or punishing misplays.
  • Switch between AoE and precision depending on how grouped or spread enemy players are.

Cooldowns & Mana Management

  • Track core cooldowns such as stuns, dashes, and key burst spells.
  • Avoid going mana dry before objective fights or sudden ambushes.
  • Stagger casts to keep at least one defensive option available.
  • Use lower-cost fillers between big spells to maintain pressure without draining your bar.

Risk vs Reward Casting

High-damage spells usually come with long cast times, obvious animations, or heavy cooldowns. Missing them can leave you exposed, especially in smaller arenas.

  • Cast big spells from cover or after landing crowd control.
  • Save mobility spells to dodge enemy ultimates and primed bursts.
  • Recognise when to disengage and recover mana instead of forcing trades.

Status Effects & Crowd Control

Apply and chain status effects to control enemy movement and actions. Crowd control (CC) is what turns basic damage into guaranteed kills.

Common Status Effects

  • Burn – Damage over time from Fire spells; forces enemies to disengage or risk death.
  • Freeze – Full immobilisation from Ice; perfect setup for ultimates or heavy bursts.
  • Slow – Soft CC that makes dodging and kiting much harder.
  • Stun – Lightning and Arcane effects that briefly lock out all actions.
  • Root – Nature spells that pin targets in place while still allowing them to cast.

Elemental Shields & Defenses

Defensive magic is just as important as offense. Elemental shields and barriers buy time, block damage, and counter specific enemy kits.

  • Flame Ward – Reduces incoming Fire damage and reflects small projectiles.
  • Ice Barrier – Absorbs hits and slows melee attackers who break it.
  • Lightning Aegis – Briefly nullifies stun effects and grants bonus movement speed.
  • Nature Bulwark – Converts a portion of damage taken into delayed healing.

Rotate shields with dodges and line-of-sight to stay alive during enemy ultimate windows.

Learning New Spells & Upgrades

As you progress through levels, challenges, and arena achievements, you unlock new spells and tools that reshape your playstyle.

Learning New Spells

  • Level up to unlock baseline elemental spells and key utility tools.
  • Complete specific arena challenges to earn rare hybrid spells.
  • Secure high placements in survival rounds to speed up unlock tracks.

New spells encourage experimentation. Try different combinations in casual modes before committing favourites to ranked loadouts.

Spell Upgrades & Customisation

Most spells can be upgraded or customised to better fit your preferred role.

  • Range – Extend projectile distance or AoE radius for safer casting.
  • Cooldown – Shorten timers to enable aggressive, combo-heavy play.
  • Damage – Boost burst at the cost of higher mana usage or longer casts.
  • Utility – Add secondary effects such as vision reveals, slows, or knockbacks.

Tips for Spell Mastery

Spell mastery is about much more than memorising tooltips. It is learning timing, prediction, and counter-plays so you can climb the ranks as a ET Group B.V. spellcasting champion.

Timing

Cast Windows

  • Cast big spells right after enemies waste dashes or shields.
  • Use quick spells to interrupt enemy channel times.
  • Sync your ultimates with ally CC for near-guaranteed hits.

Prediction

Reading Movement

  • Lead shots based on enemy momentum and likely dodge directions.
  • Cast AoE zones where enemies want to move, not where they are.
  • Learn map layouts so you can predict escape routes.

Counter-Play

Outsmarting Opponents

  • Bring shields that specifically counter popular meta spells.
  • Change loadouts when you repeatedly face the same compositions.
  • Study replays and guides from the Blog and News & Updates sections.
